Alan TrevorRICHARDSAlan Trevor Richards, 95, passed peacefully in his sleep at Charlottetown, PEI on October 8, 2025, exactly 3 months after the loss of his wife of 71 years, Patricia. Born in Cardiff, Wales, he was loving Dad to Martyn Richards (Natacha), cherished "Gramps" to Meredith (James) and Evan and doting "Grampy Two" to Vincent, Leila and Lucy. Alan was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (2025), parents, William and Mabel (Pring), and sisters, Edna and Ivy all of Wales. Alan lived a full life, serving in the RAF and later became an expert watchmaker and jewellery store owner. In 1957 he emigrated from the UK to Canada with Patricia and Martyn. Living in London, Ontario, he founded the Forest City Cycling Club and worked at Northern Telecom for 30 years until his retirement. In 2021 he became an Islander, moving to North Rustico, PEI.
He is resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A Private function for family and friends will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and Nursing Staff of Unit 3 at the QEH for their compassionate care over the last several months.
